The Rakk: Elk Skull Hanger

The Rakk is a purpose-built elk skull hanger engineered for hunters who want a clean, secure Euro mount that goes up fast, sits right, and won’t wreck the wall behind it. Designed, fabricated, and powder coated, in the USA, The Rakk solves the problems we kept seeing with elk: rotation, wall damage, weird angles, and fussy “string-and-voodoo” hanging methods.

We built and tested 20+ elk skull hanger designs before landing on this one.

Why The Rakk works

3-point skull lock (secure but removable): The Rakk supports the skull at three contact points—one behind each eye and a third along the roof of the mouth—so the skull locks in place and stays put while remaining easy to remove when you want.

No wall contact: The hanger keeps the skull off the wall entirely, preventing gouged drywall, scuffed paint, and antler tips grinding into the sheetrock.

Adjustable viewing angle: Fits raghorns to big bulls. Most elk (about 90%) won’t need adjustment, but you can fine-tune the angle by sliding the plate in/out and re-securing the carriage bolts. The top and bottom plates are keyed so the carriage bolt won’t rotate while you tighten.

Fast, simple install: No tying, no guessing. Drive the two included washer-head screws into a stud and you’re ready to hang.
