Mountain Bucks Scouting Camp

March 21–22, 2026

Elk County, Pennsylvania

Mountain Bucks Scouting Camp is a 2-day, hands-on big woods scouting camp built around real Deer Camp values — hard days in the woods, shared meals, honest conversations, and leaving with a clear plan.

This isn’t a seminar.

This is Deer Camp — with purpose.

This Is Deer Camp With Purpose

This camp combines classroom-style breakdowns with boots-on-the-ground scouting in Appalachian mountain terrain. You’ll learn concepts, then immediately apply them in the woods where they actually matter.

If you’re willing to hike, think critically, and engage, you’ll fit right in.

What You’ll Learn

Throughout the weekend, we’ll cover topics including:

• Map reading and e-scouting

• Big woods buck bedding

• Food source identification

• Seasonal scouting strategies

• Trail camera placement and data use

• Wind and thermal behavior (demonstrated in real terrain)

• Building formal hunting plans

• Tree selection and setup strategy

• And much more

Our goal: to give you the knowledge, framework, and confidence to consistently create opportunities — not just ideas.

Hands-On, Real-World Learning

This is not a sit-and-listen event.

You’ll spend time:

• Applying concepts directly in the field

• Getting hands-on with gear and learning how to use it effectively

• Trying a saddle hunting setup

• Learning from hunters who consistently find success in big woods and mountain country

Exclusive deals, free swag, and major gear giveaways will be available for attendees.

Deer Camp Culture

Mountain Bucks Scouting Camp is built around Deer Camp values:

• Shared meals

• Hard days in the woods

• Honest conversations

• Learning from one another

The last four camps sold out quickly and were a huge success. Each year we continue refining the experience — more scouting, more interaction, and more value.
